The Redbird Migration has always been a place to learn about what’s going on in aviation and in the training business, and Migration 2015 is no exception.
The ANN crew was there, and in this video you’ll hear Joe Brown, the President of Hartzell Propeller, as he speaks during his presentation.
The topic of Brown’s discussion is pilot proficiency, and the need to remain proficient in order to be safe. Brown discusses the reasons why he is interested in pilot proficiency and highlights these reasons through a video presentation. He is active in a number of groups and says this gives him a perspective from various angles as to the importance of pilot proficiency and the high level of interest pilots have in staying proficient. He says of himself, there is always room for improvement.
Brown brings up the questions of; Is there a better way to train pilots, Can we get GA pilots to train like prose, and if they did, will they be safer? He then reviews these issues separately and in detail.
This 17 minute video provides useful information regarding pilot proficiency for flight instructors or for any pilot that simply wants more information regarding being proficient.
