AD NUMBER: 012-17-07

PRODUCT: Certain Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH Models DA 42, DA 42 NG, and DA 42 M-NG airplanes.
SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 012-17-07
ACTION: Final Rule

SUMMARY: This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product.

The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as excessive voids in the adhesive joint between the center wing spars and the upper center wing skins. This condition could cause the wing to fail, which could result in loss of control of the airplane.

DATES: This AD is effective October 11, 2012.
