West Star Aviation Named Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Center

Approval Covers BR710A-20 Engines

West Star Aviation is pleased to announce that its East Alton, ALN facility has been named as a Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Center for BR 710A-20 engines installed on Bombardier Global aircraft.

As a Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Center, West Star will be authorized and approved to perform scheduled and non-scheduled inspections and repairs. Additionally, they are approved to receive warranty and "CorporateCare" approval via the Rolls-Royce "MyAeroEngine" portal to process warranty claims directly to the OEM.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer such a tremendous benefit to our Global customers. Our ASC status with Rolls-Royce minimizes customer involvement in the warranty process and also allows our customers to combine their BR710A-20 engine inspection or repair with regular routine maintenance, paint and interior work reducing overall downtime," said Scott Sweeney, General Manager of West Star Aviation East Alton. "This approval rounds out our full-service, one-stop MRO philosophy for all our customers and now our Global customers," Sweeney said.

Andy Robinson, Rolls-Royce, SVP Services, Business Aviation, said, “We are delighted to be welcoming West Star Aviation as the latest member of our global Authorized Service Centre network. We are proud to be working with the best, most respected, maintenance suppliers to ensure outstanding levels of in-service support for our CorporateCare customers.” The West Star ALN location will be a primary "hub" facility providing support as necessary for their "spoke" locations including Grand Junction, GJT and Chattanooga, CHA locations to support the engines. West Star East Alton will feature a full line of specialized tools, spares, parts and components as well as a large inventory of highly-utilized consumables that are necessary to support the BR710A-20 engine. The company will also have access to additional tooling reserved exclusively for Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Centers.

Voted #1 Preferred MRO for five consecutive years from 2014-2018 in Professional Pilot Magazine's annual "Preferences Regarding Aviation Services and Equipment" (PRASE) Survey, West Star Aviation specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows, and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, surplus avionics sales, accessory services, paint and parts.
