Soaring Like the Ravens

Alaska Aviation History Exhibit Closes Sept. 21

If you haven't seen the Centennial of Flight exhibit at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, there are only three weeks left before "Soaring with the Ravens -- Alaska's Aviation History" closes on September 21.

The exhibit offers a look at the heroes and pioneers of aviation past and future. From Alaska's own flying brothers, the Wiens, to astronaut Bill Ofelein there area plenty of characters and adventure stories.

Two plasma displays show live air traffic flying around Bethel as part of the Capstone program and the Alaska Weather Cameras located at 33 sites around the state. They provide clear day and real time images so pilots can see the weather. A fun family guide is aimed at children and parents touring the exhibit.
