UTC Aerospace Systems Awarded Contract For Seating, IFE/CMS System For BBJ3

A Happy Passenger Has To Get There Fast, Safe, And Entertained

UTC Aerospace Systems has been awarded a contract for VIP seating, in-flight entertainment (IFE) and cabin management systems (CMS) by Jet Aviation in Basel, Switzerland for a Boeing Business Jet 3 aircraft completion project which is coming straight from the factory. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp.

The aircraft will include UTC Aerospace Systems' Platinum HD full 1080p IFE video system, digital audio system and Ethernet control network. The system configuration includes many touch screens and Apple's iPad devices as remote controls utilizing a custom application developed by UTC Aerospace Systems. Additionally, entertainment will be provided with HD sources such as Blu-ray players and numerous sizes of high definition LCD monitors. The multi-cabin interior will also include 7.1 and 5.1 surround sound and a unique phased array speaker system.

Mike Keefe, general manager of UTC Aerospace Systems' Interiors cabin and lighting business said, "We have long valued our close relationship with Jet Aviation and are very excited to be a part of this project."
