Partnerships Provide Subscribers With News, Global Medical Info
While On The Road
Air Security
International (ASI) has announced that it has entered into
alliances with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and HTH
Worldwide (HTH), a company dedicated to helping corporate travelers
stay safe and healthy when they’re away from home.
Together, they will provide a wide range of news and
medical-related services to its ASI World Watch online
subscribers.
Both services will be available on an updated version of World
Watch Online available from February 15, 2005.
“These collaborative programs are an example of our desire
to provide our World Watch Online subscribers with the best service
in the world,” said Charlie LeBlanc, ASI vice-president
operations. “Both partners help strengthen our already
top level intelligence products. At the same time, each
brings a unique expertise to the intelligence field.”
Through its alliance
with BBC World Service, ASI will be incorporating headlines from
the BBC World News website’s World Edition fed into World
Watch Online and updated every five minutes. “Our
relationship with the BBC represents a tremendous opportunity for
our ASI World Watch subscribers to have constant access to news
from the one of the world’s most prestigious news
organizations,” LeBlanc said. “We can tap into as
many as 40 different news feeds that cover the world or specific
regions.”
HTH will be providing World Watch Online subscribers with
international health care resources specifically tailored to meet
the needs of individuals, traveling, living and working outside
their home country. Through this partnership, they will gain
online access to a wide range of global health information and
services including:
- Access to a comprehensive database of hospitals worldwide
vetted by medical professionals. Information includes
hospital’s name, address, clinical services and facilities,
emergency room phone number, entrance address and hours of
operation
- In depth reviews of local pharmacies including types of
pharmaceutical drugs each dispenses
- Online medical translation guides providing common medical
terms and phrases in 10 widely spoken languages as well as brand
name equivalents for prescription and over-the-counter drugs
- Access to health related articles written by medical
professionals
“No one expects an illness to hit them when
traveling,” LeBlanc said. “Now, ASI World Watch
Online subscribers can prepare to travel, reside and work overseas
with greater peace of mind, knowing they have access to medical
care abroad faster than ever before.”
