Establishes Second Amsterdam Training Facility With CAE
Bombardier and Rolls Royce recently signed an engine service agreement for their Global Express series of business jets. This agreement will authorize Bombardier Aircraft Service Centers in Dallas, Tucson, Hartford and Fort Lauderdale to perform maintenance on BR710 engines installed in the Bombardier Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 (pictured) aircraft.
Under the agreement, Bombardier service centers will be authorized to perform line maintenance on the Rolls-Royce engines and perform engine removals. Engines will be sent to Rolls-Royce for heavy maintenance. Bombardier service centers and operators will be provided direct access to Rolls-Royce technical service representatives, and will also be able to utilize Rolls-Royce’s myaeroengine.com for support and troubleshooting.
In addition, Bombardier announced the establishment of a second CAE Bombardier Business Aircraft Training Facility in Amsterdam, which will aid in expanding Bombardier’s network of authorized training providers. The Amsterdam facility is scheduled to open in 2014, and will begin offering training on Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft equipped with the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck. Once fully equipped, the training facility will offer Level D Full-Flight Simulators and an integrated suite of flight training devices and advanced classroom settings.
Bombardier also appointed CAE as its Authorized Training Provider (ATP) for pilot and maintenance training for all Bombardier business jets in Europe. “Through our ATP agreement with CAE, we are continuing to make more training programs available in more locations and providing our customers worldwide with OEM-backed training closer to their base of operation,” said Éric Martel, President of Bombardier Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft. “Pilot and maintenance training are an important part of a world-class service and support offering, and another example of how we put our customers first at Bombardier,” continued Martel.
