Airborne 07.08.19: tailBeacon TSO!, Breitling Grounds Jets, 300th CJ4

Let the installation reservations begin! uAvionix has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)Technical Standard Order (TSO) approval for its tailBeacon integrated rear position light ADS-B OUT solution.

Much like the popular skyBeacon, the tailBeacon has been optimized for ease of installation times of less than one hour, including documentation. The tailBeacon system consists of a total of four (4) TSOs. Apache Aviation has announced that from the end of the season 2019, its seven L-39 Albatros team will no longer fly under the colours and brand name of Breitling. Breitling has decided not to renew the sponsorship contract at the end of this year after 17 years of the Breitling Jet Team. Breitling Jet Team was established in 2003 as the first professional civilian jet team in the world flying in Europe, Asia, Middle-East, North America. The team has performed hundreds of displays with its seven L39 Albatros jets. Textron has celebrated the delivery of the 300th Cessna Citation CJ4 -- which was delivered to McNeilus Steel, based in Dodge Center, Minnesota. Founded in 1948, McNeilus Steel is a family owned metals distribution business and employs more than 450 people across locations in Dodge Center, Minnesota, Fargo, North Dakota, and Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. McNeilus is upgrading to full ownership of a CJ4, having been a fractional owner of a Cessna Citation CJ1+ since 2016. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
