ACI-NA Issues Statement Regarding UK Terror Plot

Greg Principato, president of the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA), made the following statement, Thursday, regarding the new aviation threat level in response to the terrorist plot in the United Kingdom.

“Airports Council International – North America applauds the federal government’s quick response to this terrorist threat. We appreciate the fact that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) reached out to the airport community before finalizing its approach and is working closely with ACI-NA, and other industry organizations to implement its response. Airports and the TSA share a desire to ensure the safety and security of travelers, employees and all users of the aviation system.

“ACI-NA also appreciates the cooperation and support of the Canadian government and the Canadian Airports Council in addressing this threat. We will continue to work together with all of our partners in the days ahead.”
