NBAA Announces 2007 Dates for Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition

It's Never Too Early To Plan...

The NBAA Tuesday said the Association’s Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2007) will take place in Hong Kong on February 6 and 7, 2007.

"Business aviation in Asia has the potential to increase economic development, make the indigenous companies of the region more competitive in a global marketplace and enhance the quality of life for its citizens," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. "I am pleased that we will be able to return to the region for ABACE2007."

ABACE2007 will be located at the spectacular new Asia World Expo situated adjacent to Hong Kong International Airport with a Static Display of Aircraft at the magnificent Hong Kong Business Aviation Center. The trade show is the only major Asian event focused solely on business aviation. The 2007 event follows the very successful inaugural ABACE2005, which drew more than 2,200 Attendees and 50 Exhibiting Companies. Because of NBAA’s decision to move the ABACE event to the first quarter of the year, there will be no event in 2006.

ABACE is modeled after successful NBAA-sponsored events in the United States, Europe and Latin America. The show will kick off with an Opening General Session moderated by Bolen. Afterward, Attendees will have access to a number of exhibits at the Asia World Expo, a Static Display of Aircraft at the Hong Kong Business Aviation Center and a variety of Informational Sessions touching upon regional and global business aviation issues.

The potential for business aviation in Asia is tremendous. The population, economic activity and need for transportation to cover the distances between business locations -- in some cases where no practical transportation alternative exists -- is immense. But, the Asian business aviation market is emergent and at the beginning of its evolution. ABACE2007 will help catalyze the Asian market, educate the regulatory authorities in the region and expose Asian business leaders to the benefits of business aviation, so successful in other parts of the world.

ABACE is designed for company leaders, chief pilots, aviation department managers, government officials, maintenance personnel, schedulers and dispatchers, and anyone else considering this form of transportation as an aid to conducting business.
