Worked Previously At ECI, Taylorcraft
Noting its new aircraft deliveries continue to accelerate across
all product lines, CubCrafters tells ANN it named Winston Larison
to the newly created position "Manager, Customer Support"
Thursday.
"We recognize the increasing need for enhanced customer and
product support, including more proactive and responsive
communication between CubCrafters and our owner-operators," said
CubCrafters President Todd Simmons. "With this announcement today,
we have taken a bold but important step in CubCrafters growth.
We’ve raised our own standard in our warranty and support
efforts."
Winston brings to the position nearly 15 years of experience in
general aviation repair, restoration and maintenance, the majority
of that specific to tube and fabric aircraft. Prior to joining
CubCrafters earlier this year, Winston was at Engine Components,
Incorporated (ECI) in Texas with its GA piston research and
development team.
Before his work at ECI, Winston was the quality inspector and
technical advisor for Taylorcraft Aviation. Winston earned his
A&P certificate in 1999, graduated from the Aviation
Maintenance Technology program at Rice Aviation/Houston Community
College in 1996, and received his private pilot’s license in
1995. Winston’s current project outside of work is a complete
restoration of his 1940 Taylorcraft.
"As you can see from his experience... Winston is very well
qualified to lead our customer support efforts, especially for new
Sport Cubs and Top Cubs," Simmons continued. "Though his focus
right now is creating a support infrastructure, he is working
closely with our engineering, production and quality assurance
areas to get important information from the field back to those
teams. At the same time, our new aircraft customers can utilize
Winston as their internal advocate to coordinate with CubCrafters
Services for parts support and repair services when those are
required."
