OK... its been kind of quiet on the FlightPrep front... but a suit that the company threatened in 2010 appears have come back to life, under new names, but with the same principles in charge... and the same lawyer leading the charge.
The upshot is that SD Holdings who now claims to hold the patent wants $6 million a year for each year of infringement... and another $60 million on top of that -- From AOPA. Tecnam’s new P2008JC it aimed at the training market and the EASA certification means delivery will begin in several European countries. One significant launch order for the Tecnam trainer is from Aero-Club Air France which will receive the first 12 aircraft. American Airlines says it is beginning the process to recruit and hire approximately 1,500 new pilots over the next five years. This is American's largest pilot hiring cycle in more than a decade. The first new-hire class is expected to begin training this winter. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
