news for you. After a thirteen-month project by Van’s
engineering and prototype staff, a new kit for the RV-8 series
combines the current matched-hole Standard Wing and Empennage kits
with a brand-new Standard Fuselage Kit, bringing the RV-8/8A into
the same world already enjoyed by RV-7/7A, RV-9/9A and RV-10
builders.
Fantasy of Flight will play host to an Oktoberfest themed event
“Wings & Wheels” honoring the best in German
engineered vintage aircraft and automobiles. The attraction is home
to the World’s Greatest Aircraft Collection featuring over 40
vintage aircraft including an exact replica of the legendary WW I
ace, Manfred Von Richthofen’s (Red Baron) Fokker DR-1
Tri-plane.
It was about as tragic an accident as we have seen on Wittman
Field, Oshkosh, Wisconsin... but the NTSB has started shedding some
light on the circumstances that surround this accident with the
attached preliminary report.
