Transportation Labor Warns of Lack of Oversight and
Regulations
Though it might strike some as a mite opportunistic, the
following statement was issued today by Edward Wytkind, President
of the Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO (TTD), following
the terror plot uncovered by British Authorities that threatened
airline passengers and forced increased security measures at the
nation's airports...
As noted in other coverage by ANN in the last few hours, the US
threat level has been raised to Severe, or Red, for all commercial
flights flying from the United Kingdom to the United States.
The U.S. threat level is raised to High, or Orange, for all
commercial aviation operating in the United States, including
international flights. Flights from the United States to the United
Kingdom are also Orange.
Greg Principato, president of ACI-NA, made the following
statement, Thursday, regarding the new aviation threat level in
response to the terrorist plot in the United Kingdom.
