Marine Ospreys Showcase New Weapon System

Look To Expand Capabilities Of The Aircraft

The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit has a new, unique weapon to add to its MV-22 Ospreys – capable of firing 3,000 rounds per minute. The 24th MEU’s Aviation Combat Element, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261 (Reinforced), received and mounted several Defense Weapon Systems at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, July 29, 2012, and ran an initial live-fire test at Kuwait’s Udairi Range.

Airbus Military Ferries First C212 To Vietnam Marine Police

Two More Aircraft On Order From The European Planemaker

Airbus Military has delivered to Vietnam the first of three C212-400 maritime patrol aircraft ordered by the Vietnam Marine Police. The aircraft, manufactured in Seville, Spain was handed over at Gia Lam (Hanoi) at the end of a 10-day ferry flight from Skavsta, Sweden following installation of its mission system. It was formally delivered last year prior to the conversion work in Sweden.

Altavian NOVA Block III UAV To Fly Missions In Florida And Puerto Rico

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Jacksonville District has awarded a contract to Gainesville, FL-based Altavian to continue working in support of using unmanned aircraft in civil works projects in Florida and Puerto Rico.
