L-3 Wins ISS Communications Contract

Will Establish Standardized Communications Between Station, Docking Vehicles

L-3 Communications has been awarded a $24 million contract to deliver communications units for NASA’s Common Communications for Visiting Vehicles (C2V2) program. The program provides standardized communications between the International Space Station (ISS) and docking vehicles by using a standard data link for exchanging audio, video and telemetry data at varying data rates and communications ranges.

New Leased Boeing 777-200LRF Delivered To Ethiopian Airlines

Second Airplane Scheduled For Delivery Next Month

A new leased Boeing 777-200LRF aircraft has been delivered to Ethiopian Airlines by GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE. A second 777-200LRF is scheduled for delivery next month. The aircraft will expand and modernize the carrier’s freighter fleet.

Airline Becomes The Ninth Operator Of The Super Jumbo Airliner

Thai Airways International (THAI) has taken delivery of its first A380, becoming the ninth airline to operate the world’s largest airliner. The aircraft was handed over to Captain Montree Jumrieng, Executive Vice President Technical, THAI, by Kiran Rao, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing, Airbus, at a special ceremony in Toulouse Wednesday.
