Boeing Rotorcraft recently took delivery of its first V-22
electric rescue hoist designed and manufactured by Goodrich
Corporation. The hoist was installed onto a V-22 aircraft scheduled
for delivery into service for the U.S. Air Force later this
year.

It was no surprise to me that the pilots' checklists were a LOT
more involved than those that I'm used to before taking off in a
Cessna 150 or 172. B-17 drivers have to be concerned with such
things as whether or not the tail wheel was locked, and all that
stuff.

Sikorsky Aircraft has signed a memorandum of understanding with
the Government of Turkey for 12 new S-70B SEAHAWK helicopters plus
an option for five additional helicopters. First deliveries are
scheduled to begin in 2008.
