With millions of spectators dazzled by their awesome flight
demonstrations each year, The United States Navy Memorial is paying
tribute to the men and women of The Blue Angels team.
Aero-News has learned that Tango Tango -- the second flying
reproduction of the groundbreaking Messerschmidt Me262 WWII jet
fighter -- took to the skies over Germany earlier this week. The
historic flight marked the first time that an Me262 has flown over
Germany since 1945.
Residents of the central Minnesota town of Spicer hope to one
day build a memorial to honor a National Guard pilot who lost his
life in a city lake nearly 50 years ago, and the plane he was
flying when the accident occurred.
Successes Support Northrop Grumman's KC-30 Program
Representatives with European aerospace group EADS told
Aero-News Thursday that the first A330 aircraft for the Royal
Australian Air Force's Multi-role Tanker Transport (MRTT) program
has rolled off the production line and completed initial
evaluations.
