2021 FAI General Conference And Awards Announcement To Be Held Online

FAI Awards Announcement Will Also Take Place As Part Of The General Conference

The 115th FAI General Conference 2021 and annual Awards Announcement will again be held online due to the uncertainty of hosting a physical event during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Awards Announcement evening is confirmed as 9 November 2021 with the General Conference from 9 to 11 November 2021. Following the success of the 2020 General Conference and Awards Announcement, the FAI Executive Board has taken the decision to repeat the online conference for 2021, in response to the ongoing pandemic conditions.

Engine Started To Run Rough And Gradually Lost Power

On May 11, 2021, at 1500 central daylight time, a Beech C23, N793Y, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Merrill, Wisconsin. The pilot and passenger had minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that he was returning to the airport after a 1-hour flight. When the airplane was about 5 miles from the airport, and descending through about 1,250 ft, the engine started to run rough and gradually lost power.
