Expects Remaining Workers To Be Recalled In Stages
Six weeks after Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing announced a
significant restructuring effort -- including what the company
stressed would be the temporary furlough of 185 employees -- the
Bend, OR planemaker announced the first wave of those employees
will return to work this week.
The Perry-Houston County Airport Authority in Macon, GA has
begun moving on two major projects years in the planning: a new,
larger hangar, and installation of glideslope equipment.

Editor-In Chief Jim Campbell, he was negotiating a
"specially-equipped" Cirrus SR22-GTS G3 through a tricky
gravitational vortex near the event horizon of a black hole when he
realized that he had yet to finish the promised flight test report
on the terrestrial version of Cirrus's new G3 upgrade...
Long hold times. Disconnects. Lost flight plans. That certainly
doesn't sound like the flight service system of the future... but
the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association says, except for
isolated areas, that has been the present state of affairs.
The Experimental Aircraft Association reports a proposed law in
Hawaii that would require state refiners to make ethanol-free
autofuel readily available for aviation, marine, and other markets
was essentially put on hold last week.
In its preliminary report, the National Transportation Safety
Board states a medical emergency may have led to the April 19
downing of a Grumman American AA-5B Tiger while on final approach
to Danville Regional Airport in Danville, VA.
RDD Enterprises, LLC told ANN this week about the company's new
distribution agreement with Precise Flight Inc., for a new line of
products for the experimental aircraft builder.
