"I guess deep down inside, I just wanted to do
something for my country. I wanted to make a difference. There's
more to the world than just hanging around home, and I knew that
the only way I could fly was in the service of my
country."

MacKenzie. Seriously wounded over Fallujah in 2004, when a
rocket-propelled grenade shot his MH-53 Pave Low helicopter out of
the sky, today MacKenzie is serving the US Air Force at Andrews Air
Force Base, as a flight attendant. While that's a far cry from
being a special operations flight engineer flying clandestine
chopper missions, MacKenzie says he's simply grateful he still gets
to fly.
