One of aviation's few "cardinal sins" is fuel exhaustion --
running out of gas. It's absolutely vital to know how to predict
fuel requirements, monitor fuel use in flight, and safely arrive
with a substantial fuel reserve remaining.
These folks want us back on the moon with bases for scientific
research, tourism and manufacturing. They are partnering with
aerospace equipment suppliers and space agencies. They have an
aggressive multi-phased program designed to get us back
there.
Enhanced Flight Vision System is an electronic means to
provide a display of the forward external scene topography through
the use of imaging sensors, such as a forward looking infrared,
millimeter wave radiometry, millimeter wave radar, low light level
image intensifying.

a temporary control tower from the FAA for the annual Western
Michigan Fly-In at Padgham Field in Allegan, MI. For the second
year in a row, organizers of the fly-in received static from the
FAA over the tower -- last year, an administrative snafu cancelled
their request, and this year the FAA said it would cost the group
$3,200 to have the tower for one day. Fortunately, both issues were
resolved, with the help of the EAA.
