Germany’s Special Forces Command Set To Fly Eurocopter’s EC645 T2

Light Utility Helicopter Based On The EC145

Eurocopter and the German Federal Ministry of Defense have signed a contract for 15 EC645 T2 Light Utility Helicopters (LUH) to be used by Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK), Germany’s Special Forces Command. With this order, the Bundeswehr has now joined the customer list for the most powerful model in Eurocopter’s proven EC145 family.

The NBAA will present astronaut Eugene "Gene" Cernan, the “last man on the moon” and a frequent participant in NBAA events and programs, with the Meritorious Service to Aviation Award during a presentation at the association’s 2013 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition. The Meritorious Service to Aviation Award, which is the business aviation industry’s most distinguished honor, recognizes Cernan's extensive contributions to furthering achievements in aviation and aerospace.
