Despite Initial Backing By A TX Billionaire and Boeing, It All Goes Bust

Aerion... one of a very few companies currently attempting to build the next generation of supersonic aircraft, this time for the BizJet market, has announced that it is shutting down. The reason is a familiar one... without the bucks, there can be no Buck Rogers -- even with supportive partners like Boeing, GE and NetJets. As such; the ambitious program to build the AS2 supersonic aircraft has failed to attract sufficient investment and is done before they even got a prototype in the air.

NATA and FABA Defend Av-Businesses Against Tax Attack

Florida Legislature Had Specifically Exempted These Essential Service Providers From Taxation

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA), along with the Florida Aviation Business Association (FABA), filed a friend of the court brief in Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal asking for reversal of a lower court ruling allowing the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser to impose ad valorem property taxes on Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) and other entities, which provide critical general aviation support services in Florida and around the country under direct contracts with local municipalities.

Ventura County Fire Equips Firehawks With Axnes PNG Wireless ICS

Provides For The Ability To Move Freely Within As Well As Outside The Aircraft

Axnes has disclosed that the new reconfigured Ventura County UH-60L Firehawk's that recently delivered from United Rotorcraft's facility in Denver, are equipped with the Axnes PNG Wireless ICS. Both aircraft delivered to the customer feature the integration of PNG's GPS positioning capability of the MP50 handheld transceivers with the onboard AeroComputers UC-6000 digital mapping system for greater situational awareness of dismounted crew members, especially while operating at night and in rugged terrain.
