New 60 Amp-Hour Main Ship Battery Reported To Be Ideal For Part 135, 29, 25 Aircraft

True Blue Power has added a 60 amp-hour lithium-ion battery to its Gen5 product line. The TB60 saves up to 50 pounds per battery, significantly reducing aircraft empty weight and increasing useful load. "This battery is a beast. It's our most powerful battery designed for the most powerful aircraft," explained Van Winter, Market Development Manager for True Blue Power. "It's ideal for larger Part 135, 29 and 25 aircraft needing higher amp-hours for longer-running emergency and back-up power," Winter explained.

H125 Performance Increase Certified By EASA

Up To +140kg Of Additional Payload Coming From Engine Power Release

Airbus Helicopters has received EASA certification for the power upgrade of its single-engine H125 helicopter. Announced at Heli-Expo last year, this major evolution increases the aircraft’s power by up to 10% by making full use of the available power of the existing Safran Helicopter Engines’ Arriel 2D. While the maximum take-off weight of the aircraft remains unchanged, its external and internal load lifting capabilities are increased for a large part of the flight domain (by up to +140 kg), while the hover ceiling OGE at maximum take-off weight is increased by more than 1,500 ft (up to 12,600 ft).

Company to Rebrand Under New Name 'Private Jet Center'

Pittsburgh Jet Center (PJC) has revealed that that the ownership group of Jets.com has taken an equity interest in the Part 135 air carrier. PJC will continue to operate as an independent company and will support its managed fleet with its current staff. Under the arrangement, PJC will rebrand under the name of Private Jet Center and keep its base of operations in Pittsburgh, Penn. The company will be led by co-founder Clayton Pegher, who will assume the role of CEO.

AD: Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Helicopters

AD 2021-08-18 Prompted By The Discovery That Certain Part Numbers Listed In AD 2021-04-16 Are Incorrect

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2021-04-16 which applied to certain Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (Sikorsky) Model S-92A helicopters. AD 2021-04-16 required a one-time inspection of the landing gear for components with non-conforming threads and removal of any non-conforming threaded hinge pin and main landing gear (MLG) and nose landing gear (NLG) actuator pins. AD 2021-04-16 also prohibited installing certain part-numbered hinge and actuator pins on any helicopter. This AD requires the same actions but corrects erroneous part numbers.
