Northwest MedStar Increases Its Helicopter Fleet To Eight With Its New Airbus H135
Northwest MedStar received an Airbus H135 helicopter adding to their expansive fleet of twenty-one critical care transportation units serving a multi-state territory.
Horizon International Flight Academy LLC, UAE has placed an order with Frasca International for a Bell 407 FNPT II. The simulator will be configured as the Bell 407 Helicopter and will feature Dual G500, Dual G430 and Frasca’s TruVision visual system with 6 channel (200° x 68°) projected display system and custom database featuring the Al Ain International Airport.
Alleges It Operated 'Dozens' Of Helicopter Flights Without The Proper Safety Equipment
The FAA has proposed a $1.54 million civil penalty against Air Methods Corp. of Englewood, CO for allegedly operating Eurocopter EC-130 helicopters on dozens of flights when they were not in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
On February 12, 2015, the FAA issued EAD 2015-04-51, which was prompted by a fatal accident. Preliminary results of the investigation indicated that the accident was caused by a crack in the spindle which resulted in the main rotor blade separating from the helicopter. The crack was discovered at the last thread of the spindle retention nut threads.
