New Country Opens up For DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400
Amid the bustle of this week's 60th Farnborough International
Airshow, Viking Air Limited of Victoria, BC accepted another
deposit for the new DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400, sold to Montenegro
Charter Company, of Podgorica, Montenegro.
US Airways announced this week it has signed a long-term
aftermarket agreement with International Aero Engines (IAE)
covering V2500-A5 engines that power the airline's fleet of Airbus
A320 Family aircraft. The contract is projected to run to 2032, and
is currently IAE's largest aftermarket maintenance agreement.
Mark Lund, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) aviation
safety inspector and Professional Aviation Safety Specialists
(PASS) member who uncovered serious safety issues during the August
2005 aircraft mechanics strike at Northwest Airlines, was honored
this week by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
(ACFE).
