SpaceDev announced Monday it has signed a multi-year contract
with Scaled Composites to assist Scaled in the development of a
production rocket motor for the first commercial space vehicle
designed for space tourism, SpaceShipTwo.
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)
will present five awards for key contributions to space science and
technology during the AIAA SPACE 2008 Conference & Exposition,
to be held September 9-11 at the San Diego Convention Center, San
Diego, Calif. The awards will be presented at the conference's
awards luncheon at noon on Wednesday, September 10, 2008.
