Part One: Tom Wathen Foundation, A Strong Commitment to
Improving Education through Aviation
While AirVenture 2008 is over, the spirit and enthusiasm is
likely to continue amongst a unique group of students from opposite
ends of the US and a network of aviation foundations and industry
organizations dedicated to aviation education.
Plane Talk was an ongoing series of essays about the simple
satisfactions and personal rewards of flying. These essays were
originally published in a "hometown" newspaper, and were written to
familiarize the general public with the personal aspects of flying.
They were written in the hopes of bringing more people into
aviation, and to give non- fliers a better appreciation for their
local airport.
The four large satellites of Jupiter so named because Galileo
discovered them when he turned his telescope toward Jupiter: Io,
Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
