Airborne 05.17.16: WASP Justice, Solar Impulse, New Air Force One

Congress has taken action on something that never should’ve been an issue in the first place when they passed the ‘Women Airforce Service Pilot Arlington Inurnment Restoration Act’ and sent it on to President Obama for his signature. Upon passage, the bill will allow World War-two ‘Women Air Force Service Pilots’, known as the WASPs, to be laid to rest in the Arlington National Cemetery. The legislation was sponsored by U.S. Representative Martha McSally, who herself served in the Air Force as a combat pilot in the Middle East. The U.S. House unanimously passed the bill on Wednesday of last week, the day after passage by the U.S.
