Airborne-Unmanned 12.19.17: Aurora Autonomous UH-1H, MAGMA UAV, Fire Scout Update

Aurora Flight Sciences has conducted a successful demonstration of its autonomous helicopter system, which was developed under the Office of Naval Research’s (ONR) Autonomous Aerial Cargo Utility System (AACUS) program. Stratolaunch Aircraft Moves Under Its Own Power

First Taxi Test Successful

This past weekend, the Scaled test team successfully executed a low speed taxi test of the Stratolaunch aircraft. During this initial taxi test, the aircraft moved down the runway under its own power for the first time. These first test points have demonstrated the fundamental ability to control the aircraft speed and direction on the runway.
