Silver Airways Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA), today voted with 93.3% participation to unanimously ratify their first contract. The four year agreement provides immediate pay raises, defined schedule and work rules for 60 Silver Airways Flight Attendants. The contract was reached with the assistance of the National Mediation Board.

Textron Aviation Brings Faster Connectivity To Citation X

FAA Grants STC For Installation Of Gogo Avance L5 System

The FAA has awarded an STC to Textron Aviation for the installation of the Gogo  Avance L5 connectivity system upgrade for its Cessna Citation X business jet. When equipped with the  Avance L5, the Citation X will deliver faster inflight connectivity speeds and enhanced network capacity for a more robust user experience. In addition to the Citation X, the company plans to introduce the  Avance L5 system to additional products across the Citation, Beechcraft King Air and Hawker platforms in the coming months.

Babcock Introduces Two H175s To The Southern Hemisphere

Entry Into Service Anticipated On January 1

Offshore service provider Babcock International has taken delivery of two H175s at a ceremony in Darwin, Australia. Babcock’s aircraft are the first H175s to be introduced into the southern hemisphere and will be based in Dili, Timor Leste. The new aircraft will be used to transport personnel and provide search and rescue and medevac support in the Timor Sea, approximately 270 nautical miles northwest of Darwin.

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd. has announced that its leasing division, DAE Capital and Yunnan Hongtu Airlines (“Hongtu”) of China have completed a lease agreement for two new Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
