Classic Aero-TV: Eclipse Aerospace - Prepping for the Light Jet Future

Can A Light Jet Help Grow Your Business?

At NBAA2014 if you want to talk about light jets, Eclipse Aerospace was a good place to start. ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell took the opportunity to talk with Eclipse Aerospace CEO and Chairman, Mason Holland to find out about business at Eclipse and the light jet market in general.

Holland says the last few years have been rough for the light jet industry, but things are starting to improve both in the domestic and international market. The Eclipse 550 was certified earlier this year and Eclipse is engaged in producing the new airplane and upgrading existing aircraft to the 550 standard. He pointed out that in the immediate past they have been more engaged in the MRO side of the business but will now be producing the new model 550 as the market demands.

During this interview the conversation addresses the issue of convincing businesses that a small personal jet can be of value to their growth. Holland also brings up the point that the Eclipse jet is a perfect candidate for military training, and they are looking in that direction to grow their market.

This video provides insight into the business of small jets and to the future of Eclipse.
