Pattonair Indianapolis Recognized As Premier Partner For Reading Program

Twelve Employees Each Devote An Hour A Month To Support Students

Aerospace and defense supply chain service provider Pattonair said Wednesday that its Indianapolis facility has been recognised as a Premier Partner by HOSTS. Wayne Township Schools created the HOSTS program, which stands for Help One Student to Succeed. The program was developed to provide one-to-one mentoring for students to help them improve their reading and comprehension skills.

The Indianapolis PEP (Pattonair Engagement Process) team found out about HOSTS during the school supply drive they organized last year at Stout Field elementary school. Having spread the word around the facility, the team received an enthusiastic response and there are now 12 employees devoting one hour each month to provide support for two students, 3 days a week. This level of involvement was more than enough to qualify Pattonair Indianapolis as a HOSTS Premier Partner, an accolade that requires participation from a minimum of four employees.

“This is a further example of Pattonair’s commitment to CSR," said Wayne Hollinshead, CEO of Pattonair. "Giving something back to the community is part of Pattonair’s ethos and the Pattonair Indianapolis team have found the HOSTS Project very rewarding and have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the children. As a company, Pattonair continues to support local community projects around the world, helping the communities that we work in."
