Twice-Weekly Airborne 07.10.12: HBC Learns Chinese, Farnborough, Boeing Bucks

Also: XCOR Moves, Earhart Search, US Airways/AA Merger Info, Heli-Noise Meetings, Sailplane Grand Prix!

Twice is definitely NOT enough... Another Aero-Week means TWICE AS MUCH Aero-News! Airborne now comes to you TWICE a week, Tuesday and Fridays, (with occasional exceptions for special event weeks and associated coverage). Each week, you’ll get your dose of Airborne on Tuesday as well as Friday, allowing us to make the news more timely for you.

A Chinese concern, Superior Aviation Beijing has bought into Hawker Beech in a big way... but NOT the defense side of the company, which will remain separate. Boeing opened the Farnborough Air Show today with news that Air Lease Corporation has placed a firm order for 60 737 Max 8s and 15 Max 9s with an option for an additional 25 aircraft. XCOR, which is developing the Lynx suborbital spacecraft, has confirmed a partial move out of Mojave, CA for Midland, TX.  We have ALL this and SO MUCH MORE in this edition of AIRBORNE!

As always, PLEASE keep sending us your feedback and ideas... you have no idea how important that is to us as we evolve the Airborne mission. As we listen to your critiques, we're getting a far better idea as to how to tweak and fine-tune future Airborne programming to fit your needs. We think you're going to like what we have in mind for the future.

Don’t forget that we’ll be bringing you live coverage of Oshkosh again this year, with Daily Airborne Programs, Monday through Friday, July 23rd through 27th at 8PM Central Time. We hope you’ll join us.

Airborne 07.10.12 is chock full of info about the half-week period ending Tuesday, July 10th, 2012...
