Signature Technicair U.K. Approved For Tamarack Active Winglet Installation

Active Winglets Upgrade For Citations Now Available At Bournemouth, U.K. Location

Tamarack Aerospace Group announced today that it has approved Signature TechnicAir in Bournemouth U.K. as an authorized installer of its ATLAS Active Winglets for the Cessna Citation business jet line.

Brian Cox, President of Tamarack Aerospace, said “It’s exciting that customers can now bring their aircraft to this world-class maintainer for their Active Winglet upgrade. Many owners will prefer to combine their Active Winglet upgrade with avionics or engine work, so this is a win-win for our European customers. At the same time that they are performing an engine overhaul or a flight deck upgrade, Signature TechnicAir can be working on the ATLAS installation, which minimizes overall installation downtime.”

"We’re excited to now have our Bournemouth team be an authorized installer for Tamarack’s Active Winglets," said Randy Deal, Director of MRO Sales for Signature TechnicAir. "It’s a high-quality kit that is far easier to install than traditional passive winglets because there is no structural reinforcement required in the wing. The performance benefits on the CJ series are a good match for the needs of our CitationJet customer base and we look forward to demonstrating this product to them.”

The operational benefits that owners will see with an Active Winglet equipped aircraft are:

  • Increased range.
  • Maximum Zero Fuel Weight increase.
  • Reduced time to climb to cruise altitude.
  • Increased climb gradients.
  • Improved single-engine climb performance.
  • Ride smoothing and stability.
  • Upgraded LED navigation & anti-collision lighting.

Tamarack Active Winglets are the only aerodynamic technology on the market today that can reduce time to climb and fuel burn, while increasing range and aircraft stability, without any structural reinforcement, yielding significant time and cost savings. Tamarack Active Winglets are approved via EASA, FAA, ANAC and Transport Canada Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installation on the Cessna CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, M2, CJ2, CJ2+, CJ3 and CJ3+ business jets.
