API’s Winglets Winging It In The West

Duncan Aviation and Aviation Partners Inc Extend Service Reach To The Western USA

Duncan Aviation has again reached out to Aviation Partners Inc (API) to designate Duncan Aviation's Provo, Utah Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility as an authorized installer for the API blended winglets. This latest blessing provides servicing capability for customers in the western United States. In fact, Duncan and API have collaborated for many years, going back to the mid-1990’s, with the authorization of other MRO sites to perform these winglet installations. In April 2021, Duncan Aviation celebrated the installation of the 100th pair of API blended winglets on a Falcon 900EX in Lincoln, Nebraska. Prior to that, Duncan Aviation participated in a short-term program with API and Dassault to install these winglets on a Falcon 2000EX for STC certification flight testing.

Duncan Aviation a U.S. based company founded in 1956 and headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska is an aircraft maintenance provider supporting personal and corporate aircraft operators, government agencies, and other aircraft service providers. Aviation Partners Inc, founded in 1991 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, began making blended winglets for the Gulfstream II, yielding performance enhancements that broke records, and soon other aircraft manufacturers, including Boeing, jumped aboard to reap similar benefits.
