Snow Aviation Assets In Online Auction

One-Time C-130 Retrofit Specialist Falls On Hard Times

Online auction technology has changed holiday shopping forever, and sadly it's also coming in handy in the current recession-induced wave of aviation bankruptcies. United Country - Gryphon Realty & Auction Group says it will liquidate all remaining assets of Snow Aviation International, Inc., during an online-only auction next month.

Snow Aviation of Columbus, Ohio (UC Gryphon photo) was founded in 1986 and went on to become a national leader in the retrofitting of C-130 cargo planes. It is now being liquidated, including office assets, two hangers full of aviation tools, tugs, aircraft tires, maintenance platforms, hand and power tools, and a full metal shop.

A preview of the assets is scheduled for Friday, December 9 from 0900-1200. The auction itself runs through December 13, and removal will be allowed on Thursday and Friday, December 15-16 from 0900-1700.
