EAA and Siemens To Work Jointly On Youth Aviation Education

EAA AeroEducate Program Will Be Launched Next Week At Oshkosh

On the eve of the first major EAA event in two years, EAA has announced a partnership with Siemens Digital Industries Software to collaboratively grow youth engagement and education in the aviation industry. S

iemens will become the official technology partner of EAA for education in aviation and aerospace. This joint effort of EAA and Siemens strengthens both companies' aviation education programs. EAA AeroEducate brings an interactive, educational, and engaging experience to the youth while inspiring them on aviation.

"EAA is welcoming Siemens to AirVenture for the first time this year. They will be demonstrating their technology through activities at KidVenture, which attracts about 25,000 children each year," said Jack J. Pelton, EAA CEO and Chairman of the Board. "This new joint effort takes Siemens' outstanding engineering education programs and brings them to a new audience of young people who are inspired through aviation."

Siemens' Academic Program will be instrumental in helping EAA create clear career pathways into the world of engineering since top aerospace and defense manufacturers, as well as all agencies of the US Department of Defense, leverage and trust Siemens' proven software and services to drive digital transformation. Siemens' software solutions connect the real and digital worlds and enable companies of all sizes to create and leverage a digital twin that can provide new insights, opportunities and automation.

Siemens' Xcelerator Portfolio, a comprehensive and integrated portfolio of software and services for electronic and mechanical design, system simulation, manufacturing, operations and lifecycle analytics, is driving digital transformation across the aviation industry.

"We are in the midst of the most innovative and disruptive period for aerospace in decades as companies strive to transform travel, space and defense," says Dale Tutt, vice president of Aerospace & Defense, Siemens Digital Industries Software.

"But there are also challenges ahead as the aviation industry strives to fill roles for pilots, engineers and technicians over the next 10-20 years.  This is why Siemens is proud to partner with EAA, a great organization that recognizes the importance of engaging students in STEM, to empower the next generation of aerospace talent."

Additional details and opportunities are expected to be announced next week.
