ACE Holding “Amazing Race” Fundraiser with CFAA Students

Students Race in 4-Leg, Timed Sim Race Throughout Central FL to Support Educational Programs

The Aerospace Center for Excellence will hold an unorthodox fundraising opportunity to bolster their year-round educational programs, holding a Youth Sim Race between teams drawn from its Central Florida Aerospace Academy program.

The high school racers will compete in a 4 leg, timed race throughout Central Florida, competing to be awarded points based on the completion time of each leg. The race portion of the drive begins on November 29th, but from now until then teams will be racing to gain as many donations as they can - and the team with the highest ACE donation total will get access to the race route 24 hours before everyone else. Teams will also see one second deducted from their race completion time for every $100 raised, hopefully gaining $20,000 for the roster of ACE educational programs.

The Aerospace Center for Excellence will fund a number of their educational aeronautical programs through the race, helping to expand the number of scholarships available to future aviators as well as continue the yearly tempo of summer camps and programs like Wings n’ Things or Classroom in the Sky.

The Center for Excellence will be live streaming the race from 1400-1700 central on November 29. Donations are accepted now, through the ACE website at the link below.
