Wisconsin Governor Visits DeltaHawk Facility

Announces Financial Commitment To Help Improve Production Plant

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was on hand at the DeltaHawk Engines facility in Racine on Thursday to formally announce the financial commitment of the State of Wisconsin to help DeltaHawk improve its production plant and create new jobs. The Wisconsin Department of Commerce is providing a $720,000 low-interest loan to DeltaHawk, which will be used to aid in the company's plans to manufacture a family of 2-12 cylinder engines for the general aviation industry.

DeltaHawk expects to create 100 new jobs over the next three years. "Innovation in manufacturing is what helped put Wisconsin on the map," Governor Walker said. "I'm proud to be able to help this company create 100 new jobs and work with them to help develop a product that will revolutionize the aviation industry."

DeltaHawk Engines has also received a $1.2 million low-interest loan from City of Racine, which will be provided in $400,000 increments over the next three years.  The loan was formally approved by the City Council in February. "We're thrilled to have the strong support of Governor Walker, the State of Wisconsin, and the City of Racine as we move towards the next phase of our business development efforts," said Dennis Webb, President of DeltaHawk.  "We look forward to expanding our production line and working with the State and City to grow our local economy."
