LA IMPACT Places Order For Enstrom 480B

The Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force (L.A. IMPACT) has placed an order for an Enstrom 480B Guardian helicopter. The helicopter will be outfitted with an SX-5 searchlight, camera mounting system, and an oversized vertical sliding window. L.A. IMPACT's missions address a myriad of law enforcement challenges including organized crime, drug enforcement, and homeland security.

This helicopter will be operated for L.A. IMPACT by the Pasadena Police Department's Air Operations Section based out of Pasadena, California, and scheduled for delivery in December, 2006.

According to Pasadena Air Operations OIC, Lieutenant Robert Mulhall, "The Enstrom 480B was selected for its spacious cabin, excellent visibility, large fuel capacity for extended missions, flight characteristics, safety record, and low cost of operation. We are anticipating this helicopter will provide the critical air support needed and have a major impact on this county wide, multi-jurisdictional crime task force."

"L.A. IMPACT has been a valued customer of Enstrom's for over 12 years when it purchased the first of 3 piston aircraft for its missions, said Tracy Biegler, Director of Marketing and Sales. I am very proud that the 480B is the aircraft that L.A. IMPACT chose to support its large mission requirement and that our relationship will continue for many years to come. "

L.A. IMPACT is committed to serve the people of the Los Angeles area and seeks to anticipate and address critical law enforcement needs in Southern California as they emerge.
