Arlington '06: Eaglesoft/Mindstar Brings G1000 Sim To Microsoft FlightSim Pilots

Want To Upgrade Your (Simulated) Cockpit To A G1000 For Only$49.95?

Even the Flight Simulator crowd can't stand to have anything but the latest generation of avionics in front of them while flying...

An exclusive distribution agreement has been reached between Eaglesoft Development Group and Mindstar Aviation to provide aviation enthusiasts with Garmin G1000 Avionics Packages for use in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and the forthcoming Flight Simulator X (which is supposed to be a significant step forward for an already accomplished software program).

Mindstar Aviation brings its expertise in high tech motion picture production software, and twenty years of real world pilot experience, to the process and adds the strong technical expertise of Eaglesoft Development Group to produce a unique collaboration.

The Garmin G1000 for Microsoft Flight Simulator product is currently utilizing a Cessna cockpit though a Diamond DA40/DA42 variant is promised shortly. the program requires Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (or the forthcoming FSX), is Windows XP and Windows 2000 Compatible and requires a 1.2 GHz or faster CPU. The program adds the Garmin G1000 panel to default Cessna 182 in MSFS, and includes a fully functioning PFD, Audio Panel, and MFD, though the MFD and PFD are "Undockable" so that they may be depicted separately in a multiple monitor installation.

The Mindstar folks note that the product's features are still being updated, but that upgrades are free. The program is available, only, online and retails for only $49.95.

Mindstar Aviation tells ANN that their primary efforts will be focused on real world training aspects of the G1000 on the Microsoft Flight Simulator platform, while Eaglesoft Development Group will make their  primary focus the release of complete Aircraft and Avionics Packages for flight simulation enthusiasts around the world.
