Rectrix Names New CEO Of Aviation Division

Position Offered To Veteran Aviation Executive Paul Foley

Rectrix Aviation Inc. is pleased to announce that Paul Foley has been named Chief Executive Officer.

Rectrix Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services Inc. (RCAS). Rectrix Aviation is headquartered at Hanscom Field (KBED), and is the largest Massachusetts based jet company owning its aircraft fleet.

As CEO for Rectrix Aviation, Mr. Foley (pictured) will be responsible for overseeing the aviation division and launching its scheduled airline service. His duties will also include management of the commuter airline service between Hyannis, MA and Nantucket, MA which Rectrix has applied to operate through the Department of Transportation. He will report directly to Richard Cawley, CEO of Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services, Inc.

“We are so pleased to have Paul become CEO of Rectrix Aviation,” said RCAS CEO Richard Cawley. “Paul is a highly talented and experienced airline executive who understands Rectrix Aviation’s strategy. His expertise and commercial airline experience will help Rectrix Aviation successfully launch scheduled air service along with strengthening and evolving our aviation division.”

Foley has held numerous executive leadership roles in aviation and global businesses, including experience with startups, rapid growth, mergers, acquisitions and turnarounds. He comes to Rectrix from Mesa Air Group, where he has been Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since 2008. Prior to Mesa, Foley held the positions of President and CEO of MAIR Holdings (formerly Mesaba Holdings) and Chairman and CEO at Big Sky Airlines. His other past leadership positions include roles with Atlas Air, LSG Sky Chefs and American Airlines.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the Rectrix Aviation team as we work to introduce scheduled air service,” said Foley. “The airline industry is very competitive, but we have a great team in place to launch the new service and grow it safely and profitably.”

In addition to MAIR Holdings, Mr. Foley held the roles of Treasurer, Vice Chairman and Chairman at the Regional Airline Association, where he remains on the Board of Directors. He served on the Board of Directors as well as the audit, executive, and compensation committees at Zomax Corporation, then a publicly traded international manufacturing company. Since 2014 he has served on the advisory board of Fareportal Inc., a multi-billion dollar New York City-based technology company that powers leading hybrid travel agencies. Foley holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. As a native Bostonian, he looks forward to moving back to his hometown.
