CAF Announces New VP Of Development For CAF Foundation

Newest Member Spent 24 Years With The EAA

Following an extensive nation-wide search, the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is excited to announce that Steven L. Buss of Oshkosh, Wis., will be joining the International Headquarters team in Midland/Odessa, Texas, as Vice President of Development for the CAF Foundation.

Buss will focus on building the organization's financial stability through the solicitation of donations of funds, objects and/or services to support the continued growth and success of the CAF. He will focus on building lasting business relationships that will further the CAF mission within the Midland/Odessa and aviation communities.

"Steve Buss has a proven track record of success in the non-profit and aviation communities," said Stephan Brown, President/CEO of the Commemorative Air Force. "We are excited to have someone of his professional caliber and experience joining our team at the CAF. His proven success in management, fundraising and community involvement make him a wonderful addition to both the CAF and Midland/Odessa."

Buss comes to the CAF following twenty-four years with the EAA. During his tenure at there, Buss was involved in many aspects of the organization becoming familiar with non-profit operations and the aviation community. Named Executive Director of EAA's Young Eagles program in 1995, he managed the growth and expansion of the program, from 100,000 participants to nearly 1.7 million. The program is arguably viewed as the most successful youth aviation outreach initiative in history.
