Midland AirSho Will Not Move With CAF HQ To Dallas

Next Year's Event Already In The Planning Stages

The Commemorative Air Force may be moving its headquarters to Dallas, TX, but the popular Midland AirSho will stay firmly in place, according to the show's organizers.

AirSho Chairman Gena Lenebarger told Midland television station KMID that rumors that the event will be moving with the CAF to Dallas are just that ... rumors. Linebarger said that the CAF will have it's own type of event in Dallas, but "Midland will continue to see the great AirSho we've had for the last 24 years here in Midland and the 51st AirSho for CAF in general."

Linebarger says that next year's lineup of performers is already being established, and that the community and the city council are firmly behind the event. The council supports AirSho with revenue from bed taxes collected by hotels and motels in the area.
