Pan Am Int'l Flight Academy Secures Korean Deal

Exclusive Training Contract With Korean Airlines

Pan Am International Flight Academy' Career Pilot division (PAIFA) has been awarded an exclusive contract to provide comprehensive, airline-oriented training to Korean Airlines (KAL). Training will be conducted at PAIFA's Livermore (CA) training center, and will utilize the Academy's fleet of Piper Seminole, Arrow and Archer aircraft. An estimated 60 KAL students will train with PAIFA this year. Since 2001, the Academy has (also) been the exclusive primary flight training provider to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

"The Academy takes a unique approach to primary flight training, because we indoctrinate students with an 'airline mentality' right from the start. Our training process is intense, and continually emphasizes the need for discipline, professionalism and accountability," said Chuck Glass, Vice President and Executive Director of the Academy's Career Pilot division.

The Academy operates training facilities in Miami, Orlando, Fort Pierce and Vero Beach (FL); Cincinnati (OH); Memphis (TN); Dulles, (VA); St. Louis (MO); Minneapolis (MN); Phoenix and Scottsdale (AZ); Beaver Falls (PA); and Livermore (CA). Its Commercial and Regional airline simulator "fleet" includes B767, B757, B747-200, B747-400, B737-200/300/400/500, B727-200, B707, DC8-70, DC9-30/50, DC10, A300, A320, A330, MD80, 328JET, Caravan, Saab 340, CRJ 200, J31/32, J41, AVRO RJ and BAe146.
