New Trig Stack Products To Be Unveiled At Oshkosh 2015

Slim Designs Save Valuable Panel Real Estate In Smaller Aircraft

Trig Avionics is unveiling its new avionic stack products for the first time at Oshkosh.

“We love coming to Oshkosh, meeting customers and being part of the biggest aviation event in the world," said Trig CEO Andy Davis. "We are excited to show our new VHF radios and Audio Panels to AirVenture attendees, these will be on display in Hall C stand 3090.”

Trig says its TY96 and TY97 Aviation Radios define a new standard in dual 25 kHz and 8.33 kHz radio design. With a slimline case that is only 1.3” high, each radio saves valuable panel space and is packed with innovative and practical features. “These high quality avionics are great for both certified and experimental aircraft owners, they are easy to install and a pleasure to use,” Davis said.

Trig’s new radios are the slimmest retro-fit for any stack. They are the perfect replacement for older

legacy radios such as the KY196A, KY197A or SL40. Trig’s ‘Better by Design’ philosophy promises a superior user interface with features that pilots will really appreciate. Despite their slimline size both radio models, the TY96 (10 Watt) and TY97 (16 Watt) features include: ‘Push Step’ providing faster tuning and ‘Say Again’ which allows instant play-back of your last transmission. This is an advantage to student and even experienced pilots - saving the embarrassment of asking air traffic to repeat a message. An Emergency button automatically sets 121.5 MHz and volume levels. Finally, a USB port allows the upload of an airfield database – this can contain over 200 of your preferred frequencies and identifiers.

Trig is also showing off two new audio panels at Oshkosh, the TMA44 and TMA45. Both models are dual comm, dual nav and fully featured audio panels. The TMA45 has comprehensive entertainment features and Bluetooth wireless support for music and mobile devices. The TMA45 hosts 2-6 seats, and has Trig Digital Noise Reduction (TDNR) to automatically select the optimum level of intercom squelch and mic threshold to reduce cockpit noise. Trig Active Mute (TAM) further reduces unwanted background noise from radio static producing class leading audio. This allows the customer to enjoy the comprehensive stereo music and entertainment options. The TMA44 hosts 2-4 seats and has mono entertainment and communication options. Each audio panel has a built in intercom and marker beacon receiver.

“With a choice of two audio panels we expect most pilots will prefer our fully featured stereo and Bluetooth audio panel, the TMA45," Davis said. "Those wanting key features, but great value will buy our standard panel, the TMA44. All these products will be available later this year.”
