FlightSafety Names New Leadership At DFW North Learning Center

John Healey Tapped As An Assistant Manager At The Facility

FlightSafety International announces that John Healey has been named as an Assistant Manager of the company’s Dallas/Fort Worth North Learning Center. He joins Thierry Pierard who also serves as Assistant Manager.

“We congratulate John on his well-deserved promotion,” said Daniel MacLellan, Senior Vice President, Operations. “John understands the unique requirements of our Customers, and is committed to provide the highest quality training and outstanding service they deserve and expect.”

John joined FlightSafety in 2010 as an instructor in the Bell 412 training program. He was instrumental in the startup of FlightSafety’s Airbus Helicopters EC-135 program as an instructor, Training Center Evaluator, and Program Manager. He was then promoted to Assistant Director of Training at the DFW North Learning Center, and most recently served as Director of Training for the DFW South location.

Prior to joining FlightSafety, John was with MassMutual Life Insurance Company for over 19 years. He managed the company’s fleet of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft as Director of Flight Operations. During this time John trained with FlightSafety at its Learning Centers in Dallas, Teterboro and West Palm Beach.

John served in the United States Army and Army National Guard for 23 years. He held the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and was an Army Master Aviator. His roles included Instructor Pilot, Instrument Flight Examiner, and Massachusetts State Aviation Safety Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The DFW North Learning Center is equipped with 24 full flight simulators for a wide variety of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft used in business and commercial aviation. They include simulators for aircraft built by Bell Helicopter, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Gulfstream and Pilatus.
