Multiple Awards Available Up To $35,000
Aerosim Flight Academy, an accredited and internationally recognized flight school in Sanford, FL, has announced several new scholarship programs to offer financial assistance to qualified individuals passionate about a career in aviation.
Fall Scholarship Program - $10,000
Start dates of October 13, November 10 and December 8, 2016. Qualified recipients may receive scholarship funds toward tuition for the Airline Pilot Track and are awarded after successful completion of the Commercial Multi-Engine rating.
Aerosim Veterans Scholarship - $10,000
Qualified recipients may receive up to $10,000 toward tuition for the Airline Pilot Track. Eligible participants may receive scholarship funds toward tuition for the Airline Pilot Track and are awarded after successful completion of the Commercial Multi-Engine rating.
Women Aviators Scholarship Program - $10,000
Qualified recipients can receive up to $10,000 to apply toward for the Airline Pilot Track. Eligible participants may receive scholarship funds toward tuition for the Airline Pilot Track and are awarded after successful completion of the Commercial Multi-Engine rating.
Private Pilot Veterans Scholarship Program - $3,000
Qualified recipients may receive up to $3,000 toward tuition for the Private Pilot certificate course.
High School Merit Program - $35,000
Two qualified recipients may receive up to $35,000 each toward tuition for the Airline Pilot Track and are awarded after successful completion of the Commercial Multi-Engine rating. The application deadline February 27, 2017.
“As the demand for professional pilots continues to rise in the global job market, funding resources are also in high demand for the next generation of aviators. Diverse and generous scholarships provide eligible students the opportunity to pursue their passion and reach their career goals while alleviating a portion of the financial responsibility,” said Michael Cimmino, director of enrollment management at Aerosim Flight Academy. “Scholarships expand the possibilities for dedicated students that meet our enrollment criteria to pursue our training program that will best prepare them for a successful career in aviation,” Cimmino continued.

In order to continue providing top-quality equipment, the academy offers the Cessna 172 aircraft as the primary private trainer, the technically advanced Cirrus SR-20 aircraft as the primary instrument trainer and the Piper PA44 as our primary multi-engine trainer Additionally, Aerosim specializes in developing the industry’s most advanced flight simulation equipment.
Students at Aerosim Flight Academy have access to the following simulation trainers:
- Aerosim Level 6 SR20 Flight Training Devices (FTD)
- Aerosim Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATD)
- Multi-Engine Flight Training Devices (FTD)
These state-of-the-art training devices are an integral part of the training program which immerses the cadet in a life-like environment with a fully functioning cockpit, realistic engine sounds and visual scenery.
